IT’S OCTOBER AND you know what that means – it’s scarf season.
More specifically, it’s Penneys blanket scarf season, otherwise known as the most wonderful time of the year.
Every autumn, Penneys releases a collection of big cosy scarves.
Over the past couple of years, they have become a staple of Irish womens’ wardrobes.
Which is understandable because we are a nation that complains about being cold all the time.
Regular scarves don’t work for Irish people. We need scarves that double up as blankets and shawls.
If Peig Sayers were still around, you just know she’d be rocking one.
Did we mention they’re dirt cheap?
Look at this €895 scarf from Burberry.
Is that really that much better than a Penneys scarf? We think not.
The only problem with the Penneys scarf? If you buy one, you’re guaranteed to bump into thousands of girls wearing the same one
Just means we all have good taste, tbh.
And hey, at least you can pretend that you’re part of a secret club
*winks knowingly whenever you pass a gal wearing a blanket scarf*
God bless you, big blankety scarves.
Lifesavers.
